Latest upgrade not activating

    Hi,

    I upgraded this plugin to the most recent version of 1.8.9 and now it won’t activate. It shows a message: “Post SMTP plugin require at least PHP version 5.6, contact to your web hostig support to upgrade.”

    The server this is running on is PHP 7.0.22.

    Why isn’t this working?

    I realize that. But in my case, it’s more important to have a working, less secure site rather than a non-working, more secure site.

    I found the information I needed by simply viewing the plugin’s change log (screenshot). I rolled back to that version and all is good on my end. We can consider this resolved for me.
