latest posts plugin for front page.

i’d like a plugin for my front page that shows a list of my recent articles, with an image to the left of each article, title, headline, comment and read more links. very similar to what i have found in this picture… http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/5787/picture2vh.png

does anyone have any ideas if something like this exists, or how i’d be able to recreate this effect?
