Hi,
Can you try switching to a WordPress default theme and see if that helps?
Thanks,
Gerroald

Perhaps using Chrome with an ad blocker ?

@gerroald, that has no effect and is not the issue. I tried to come back and post some more information but this forum has been ridiculous with posts disappearing in the void for a long while and become inaccessible until day later, so I couldn’t add the information. You can’t have EVERYTHING working fine and the ONLY thing to change is a plugin and things break and say it was the theme. I am sure you can admit that its a lazy way of kicking back a bug to the user.
Regardless, I disabled JS on the site so I can get everything to stick around on the screen so I can see. It seems the way the update happened, it completely crippled Super Cache and because the wp-config is in read only, it could’t fix or recover from it. I was able to get the Super Cache fixed and restored and it seems to have fixed the issue for now, but still don’t know why the update broke it to begin with. Anyway, I saw an update this morning from you that seems to have fixed the issue, but I will keep an eye on it and report back if it happens again.
@dwinden, I am going to ignore your comment as just being “trollish” and completely ignorant and off base because ABP doesn’t affect the plugin, on the server-side magically when the PLUGIN is updated and nothing else has changed, think before posting, unless that’s your goal to just post pump with useless and completely unfounded “suggestions”, if it can even be called that.
Same issue, I restored my site with a backup and deleted that plugin.
@gµårÐïåñ
It wasn’t a comment. And it certainly wasn’t trollish. Perhaps it was you interpreting it as trollish… Anyway sentences that end with a question mark are commonly referred to as questions. Based on the symptoms you described in your initial post there was a very good reason for asking that question … I was only trying to help.
Too much negativity in this topic … Unsubscribed 😉

Fixed! After a restore I removed from database tables created byy Ithemes and also I deleted Better Wp Security folder in plugins directory, then I installed via cpanel iThemes plugin and now all working fine for me.
Aniway I’ll made an entire backup before to update that plugin the next time 🙂
@gµårÐïåñ you can chenge permissions to .htaccess and wp-config.php ftom your server (or your site) control panel (not using an FTP client BUT ONLY via your cpanel…)
@marcodimitri1, yes thank you, that’s exactly what I did. I was just posting here so others know and can maybe save themselves the headache by not updating until its resolved. I can always recover from just about anything short of a nuked data center, even then I am probably ok 🙂
@dwinden, I am sorry if that wasn’t your intent but the fact is that what you asked about doesn’t even merit a response because it is COMPLETELY OFF THE BASE. Misses the mark way too much to be considered a valid or legitimate comment/question, whatever you want to call it. Those kinds of things just add to the existing frustration and don’t provide constructive resolution.
My response wasn’t meant to be insulting or hurtful, despite the fact that with emotional context lacking, text can be read pretty much anyway that may not be its original intent. I speak plainly and earnestly, if that comes across as harsh or whatever, that’s just the reader’s context, not mine. As with my comments that are sincerely and bluntly stated, if I wanted to insult someone or be mean, trust me, the words would reflect it with no doubt – and I don’t often do that unless provoked – and even then, I make my intent clear.
