Large File Upload Timeout

  • I am working on a site that requires large uploads for printing. I am using Gravity Forms to allow the user to upload a file. I have adjusted my php.ini settings to the following:

    memory_limit = 3G
    max_execution_time = 1200
    post_max_size = 3G
    upload_max_filesize = 3G

    i am able to upload large files through the backend media manager. I successfully uploaded a 1.6G file. However, the front-end upload always times out. I am able to upload small files, but I have even had a 20MB file fail.

    Here is the page I am testing with.

    Does anyone have any insite into what I should do?

  • I doubt your host would allow either a mem limit of 3G or a max post size of 3G or a max upload file size of 3G…I also doubt they will leave scripts to run for 20 minutes…verify with host…

    I have a dedicated virtual. I can change my settings to whatever I want and have.
