Language translation issue with wpDataTables

    Hello Tobias. First of all I’d like to thank you for this amazing plugin and the wonderful support you’ve provided over the years. I’m a long term user and a donator.

    I’m aware that ‘wpDataTables’ isn’t your plugin and this is not at all the right place to post this however I’m stuck right now because of an issue with the language translation in wpDataTables and I was hoping you could help me out since I couldn’t get any help in their support forums or in any of the other tech-related forums. I know that you’re not supposed to help out with this since it isn’t your plugin but I’m asking because I’ve noticed that in Tablepress this issue isn’t there while in wpDataTables it is.

    The issue is that when I switch to the Arabic language the entire table translates as the table is loading initially for about 2 seconds but then only the column headings translate and the content in the rows doesn’t.

    I’ve checked with several themes to confirm that this isn’t a theme issue. Find screenshots below:

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    I’m really sorry that I can’t really help here. It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s just that I have no clue what’s going on there, I’m afraid. See, I have never used or tried wpDataTables myself, so that I just don’t know anything about its features 🙁

    Hi,

    after thinking about it some more: What translation function are you using here? Something like Google Translate maybe? Then, I could imagine something like this happening if you do some sort of JavaScript/AJAX loading of the table data. This is then probably only loaded after the rest of the page is translated.
    Just as an idea that you could maybe look into…

    I’m using Transposh translation plugin and it seems to be working with your table. I’m really not good with coding so is there a way to turn this Javascript/AJAX loading off?

    I don’t know about that, sorry 🙁 TablePress does not use AJAX loading for tables, so that I can only recommend here to check the wpDataTables settings and options.
