Language switcher link setting

Hi,

I have just installed Polylang and am translating all my site pages. It is working pretty well except for one important thing:

When I switch the language from English to French, the flag button redirects me from the front page “www.imsc-services.com” to another static front page “www.imsc-services.com/fr”, which cannot work in my case because since the pages are duplicates, I can’t rename the URL of the Translated static page as the language picker suggests…

Should I perhaps transform a translated page into a secondary static front page to make the link between the main front pages (French & English)?
