• Hi Hi!

the site admin language is English and the language selection for buttons in Vipps Plugin is… Danish. And yet we have Norwegian buttons.

Something to do with legacy use of DK or DA as language selectors in code and the two different modules for express buttons and checkout buttons. Also, can the appearance of buttons in general be matched to other checkout payment type buttons in Storefront WooCommerce please?

    many thanks

    Hello,

The language issue is due to a bug that exists on the web component buttons we use from Vipps MobilePay, which causes all web components rendered on the same page to have the same language (see step 3 -> language).

This in particular is out of our hands as the buttons come from Vipps MobilePay, but it seems like this issue happens because there is a hidden button rendered with norwegian language, and this we can do something about.

We’ve made a change to try to fix this, but it won’t be available for automatic update immediately on wp.org, but it’s available on github. You can download the woo-vipps.zip file and install it in your wp admin panel -> plugins -> add plugin -> upload plugin. Please let us know it this fixes the issue for you.

We’ll take a look at standardizing the buttons to match other payment options, the reason they are different is that they came after our express option already existed. We recently standardized these for Gutenberg cart and checkout, so we’ll consider doing this for product pages as well.
