Language probs.

i just created it_IT.mo and it_IT.po and placed both files in dir /language/

in function.php there is the original code for translation:

load_theme_textdomain( 'twentytwelve', get_template_directory() . '/languages' );
add_action('after_setup_theme', 'my_theme_setup');

However nothing is changed. All infos are still in english.

Any suggestion?
