    To use the AI features in the plugin, you need to connect it to your OpenAI account — and that’s done using an API key.

    Think of the API key like a password that tells OpenAI, “This request is coming from your account,” and also keeps track of how much you’re using (for billing or credit limits). Without this key, the plugin can’t access the AI services to generate content or respond. Here’s how to get your API key:

    1. Go to https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys and log in.
    2. Click “Create new secret key”.
    3. Copy the key immediately and save it — you won’t be able to see it again.
    4. Paste the key into the plugin settings in WordPress (usually under AI Copilot → Settings).

    Once you do this, the plugin will be able to send requests to OpenAI and give you AI-powered responses.
