Keep Getting Login Failed Notifications After Installing!

ok, I am receiving way too many notifications about failed log in attempts. I have:

– tried removing the email address field
– uninstalled plugin
– reinstalled plugin and reconfigure

These darn email notifications still keep coming. I have no other security plugin installed on the site. How do I disable these email notifications?
