• Hi
I love Contact Form 7…Does everything I want it to do…
I read file upload that I needed but did not realise that it would delete it?

I can understand security but I need to keep these attached files as they will be only video.

I have read about file changes to file.php, classes.php etc etc
but they are all talking about contact form 7 version 3.1 and nothing they mention I can find.

I have 4.4.2 and the files don’t seem to have anything previous posts are talking about … I cannot find code line in any file // remove file uploadetc etc. So ‘keep files without deleting’ may need a new post.

So to recap I want to keep file upload after emailing, older posts don’t seem to have relevance.

    Thanks

Someone keeps deleting my posts ? Can you not reply saying this is possible or not?

    Hello! Anyone?

Hello! Not sure I’m understanding your problem correctly, but from what I I think you’re saying that you would like files uploaded to your forms to be stored somewhere within the WordPress site so that you can access them at any time? I’ve found Contact Form DB to be a very straightforward tool for these purposes: https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7-to-database-extension/

I hope that’s helpful and apologies if I’m misreading the issue you’re encountering.

Thank you yes, I will look, I need to keep the files as they will be large videos, and cannot be emailed…

I did see older versions of contact 7 where people had customized core files, but files seemed to have changed since then…

    Thanks

Yes, thank you there is a link to the file, 🙂 Just have to find the location, great… I would prefer to use the contact 7 system as I could change the folder location. But I am sure I can make a plan…
@dev please add option keep file upload…. 🙂 thanks
