js folder in my child theme?

ok, I am really new at this, and I followed instructions here http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/create-wordpress-child-theme/ to create a child theme, then I followed the instructions here http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-make-twenty-fourteen-or-any-other-wp-theme-super/ to create a mobile slide out side menue. I go to “Activating the slideout sidebar” section and downloaded the plugin, but it then says to unzip it, then copy it to the “js folder in the child theme”, but there is no js folder in the child theme. Did I do something wrong?
