    Hi,

Thanks for this awesome plugin. Really appreciate your work on it.

Just discovered a problem I haven’t encountered before. When I have Elementor pop-up code on a page, the PS2ID doesn’t work when I link to a target ID from a *DIFFERENT* page. For example:

    1. On the linked page below, I have a “Press Releases” section.
    2. When a user clicks to view a press release, they are take to that individual post.
    3. At the top of the individual post is a link to “Return to all press releases”
    4. The full URL with target ID shows briefly in the address bar, then the target text disappears, leaving an empty hash and not scrolling at all.

This happens with a couple other links on the site where I take the user from one page to a target on another.

After some troubleshooting, I learned that if I didn’t have any Elementor pop-up code on the page, it worked fine. The only problem is I have since added a pop-up that is triggered by a button in the footer…which is on every page. I don’t want to give up either functionality because both are important!

Is this a jQuery loading conflict or something else? I’m not a developer, so a lot of code tinkering is beyond me. But if there’s a relatively simple fix, I would appreciate knowing it! Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

This is a known issue with URLs that have the % character. This issue will be fixed in plugin’s next version, but you can download the development version right now and test it (the fix for this is already implemented).

Basically, you can solve the issue in 2 ways, so choose the one the works for you:

1.Go to plugin’s settings and disable the “Enable different pages scrolling on all links” option under “Links behavior” section.

Save changes and test your page.

If you don’t need this option, you can keep it disabled (it depends on if you have other sections, without links, that you want to scroll to when the page is loaded).

2.Replace the current plugin version with the development version here:

    https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/page-scroll-to-id.zip

You can keep the development version and when plugin’s new version (1.6.7) is released, you’ll be able to update it normally in WordPress admin.

Let me know which worked for you or if you need more help 🙂

Thanks so much for your prompt response, @malihu! Option 2 is the winner! With Option 1, I lost the smooth scrolling effect and it just jumped to the target.

    Thanks again!

    Great! You’re welcome.

Yes, the first option will remove the smooth scrolling for targets that don’t have a corresponding link that’s handled by the plugin.
