    Based on the wiki page you shared from WP Crontrol, it looks like there is an issue with the cron system on your web server:

    Unexpected HTTP response code: 401 or 403

    This means an access control restriction such as BasicAuth, a firewall, a security or privacy plugin, some form of password protection, or an .htaccess rule is preventing your server from accessing wp-cron.php.

    I would recommend checking with your hosting provider to maker sure that they aren’t restricting wp-cron.php. Once you no longer get the 403 Error you should find that the expiration will start working.
