Jobs not displaying

    I have a curious issue – I use WP Job Manager with WPML. My jobs appear fine in English (usually), but do not show up in other languages (the jobs do exist in those languages). In IE & Safari I see no jobs, in FF/Chrome I get English & French, but no German or others. The console shows no errors. If i create a separate page for the job page in each language (rather than the ‘layers’ while using WPML) jobs still do not show up on non-English pages.

    Any suggestions? Your help is most appreciated – this is driving me nuts!

    Hey Mark,

    Sounds like there is compatibility issues with WP Job Manager and WPML. I’ve seen a few issues pop up before but don’t know exactly what would cause this in your case.

    I would contact WPML support to see if there are any known issues.

    Hi Scott,

    Yes, I’ve brought it up with WPML, and they’re going to take a look. Its weird – the page previews even work fine.

    And thoughts on how I can force this to work temporarily or begin to trace the conflict?

    I think this is something to do with the way jobs are retrieved. The request is an ajax one, but I think WPML doesn’t know which language is being requested and breaks.

    Someone from WPML emailed me last week about this and I suggested the same, but I’ve not heard back yet. If you want to bring this up again in your WPML forum topic, the person who emailed was called Amit.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for your input.

    I will continue to pursue this on with WPML – it’s too useful a plugin to let go of! As a temporary measure, I have resorted to pages with a Recent Jobs widget. It means i have no search or category capabilities, but it pulls the language-appropriate jobs and lets me still use the backend for management.
