My jetpack plugin has disappeared and the publicize option on my posts has also disappeared as well as my stats.

Yet when I go to plugins and try to find jetpack it’s not in my list of installed or activated or deactivated plugins but when I try to install jetpack again I get an error message saying:

Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.

    Can anyone help please?

  • Hi @oakesash,

It sounds like the Jetpack plugin was only partially removed from your site. To fix this, you can remove the folder via remote access (like FTP). This handy guide explains that in more detail:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins

Once you’ve removed that folder, you should be able to reinstall and reconnect Jetpack and then connect publicize again.

    I hope this helps!

Thank you Tracy. What will have happened to all of my statistics from my site that Jetpack had? I don’t want to lose them as they are year on year, month on month.

I’m seeing stats for your site going back to 2014. Are you seeing that in the dashboard now?

I’ve completely deleted the jetpack directory. . . now I am uploading and this is what I get

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Then, the file will be on my server so I’ll have to delete and try to re-install again

    PLEASE HELP!!!
