  • Hi @grayfriar

I am sorry to hear that you are encountering this issue with the Jetpack mobile app.

The “Unable to open editor” error can happen for a few different reasons. To help us narrow down the issue and get this fixed for you, could you please try the following troubleshooting steps? Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

    1. Log Out and Log Back In
Sign out of your account on the mobile app, close the app completely, reopen it, and log back in. This helps refresh your authentication session.
    2. Check for App & Jetpack Updates
      • Make sure you are using the latest version of the mobile app from your device’s app store.
      • Ensure that both WordPress and the Jetpack plugin on your site (Williamsinclairmanson.uk) are updated to their latest versions.
    3. Re-sync Jetpack Connection
Go to your site’s WordPress Dashboard via a web browser, navigate to Jetpack > Dashboard, and check if your site is fully connected. If needed, try disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack.
    4. Clear App Cache / Reinstall
Try clearing the cache for the app in your mobile device’s settings, or uninstall and reinstall the app.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please let us know:

    • Which device and operating system version you are using (e.g., iOS or Android).
    • The exact version of the mobile app installed on your device.

Hi @grayfriar , and thanks @heru-irawan for jumping in with those troubleshooting steps.

To help us get to the bottom of the “Unable to open editor” message, a few more details would help. Along with the device/OS and app version already mentioned above, could you let us know:

    • Does this happen on every post and page, or only certain ones? And does it happen when creating a new post as well as editing existing ones?
    • Are you able to open the editor from a web browser or does it only fail in the app?
    • Is there any additional text, error code, or screenshot you can share beyond “Unable to open editor”?
    • Did this start recently, for example after an app update, a WordPress update, or a plugin change?

Once we know a bit more, we can point you to the right next steps. If you prefer sharing this info privately, feel free to use our contact form and reference this thread.

    Thanks!
