Ciao @mcastellani,
I checked your Jetpack connection for https://www.segnalerumore.it/ and it looks like it’s still not working as expected.
Can you please try deactivating and deleting Jetpack entirely, and then trying to reinstall it?
To remove Jetpack, you can FTP into your site and delete the folder wp-content/plugins/jetpack. (If you’re not sure how to do this, ask your hosting company for help.)
After that’s done, you can reinstall Jetpack by following these instructions: http://jetpack.me/support/installing-jetpack/
Let me know if that solves the problem. π Thanks!
Hello @erania-pinnera, thanks for your suggestion.
I do appreciate your intention to help.
Unfortunately, also following closely your indication (deleting plugin via FTP and then reinstalling it), once connecting Jetpack to my account, I receive the same message: “Invalid request…”
This is weird, since my other wordpress installation under the same provider (altervista.org) works perfectly fine with Jetpack.
Don’t know exactly how can I solve the issue…
Marco
Ciao @mcastellani,
Having sites on the same server doesn’t always ensure they all work the same ways as there are other instances that can affect the way they function, and the way the interact with Jetpack.
After running some tests, (it took me a little while) I made a small change that should fix things around.
Please check that all your plugins, WordPress core, and PHP versions are updated to their latest versions, and then reconnect Jetpack once again.
Let us know if that helps! π€
I just tried and it seems working now!!! Happy!
One thing, it warns me that my wordpress account is already connected with another website (which is correct, being Stardust.blog). Should I create a new wordpress.com userid to enable Jetpack on http://www.segnalerumore.it?
Thanks for the fix and for all time spent on my problem!!!
Hey @mcastellani,
Ottimo! That’s great news. On your question:
it warns me that my wordpress account is already connected with another website (which is correct, being Stardust.blog). Should I create a new wordpress.com userid to enable Jetpack onΒ http://www.segnalerumore.it?
You can connect your WordPress.com/ Jetpack account with as many Jetpack sites as you want; you should not get any warning about that.
I checked your account and you do have many sites connected already, including Stardust and Segnalerumore π
Can you share the exact warning that you got if clearing the cache doesn’t take it away? You can share screenshots if that helps. You can create screenshots using something like Snipboard or Imgur and post the link here.
If the message contains sensitive data, you can redact them from the screenshot before linking it here.
Hello @erania-pinnera,
I just tried again to connect to Jetpack using my existing account and now IT’S WORKING. I make a tour around the various plugin configuration services and for now I did not notice anything weird.
I want to thank you for your exceedingly kind help, which solved my plugin problem, patiently working on each step.
Best wishes of an exceptionally good day!
Sincerely,
Marco
