• Hi – I upgraded to WordPress.org 3.5 yesterday and JetPack disappeared. I tried to download it again and the download failed with this message:
Installing Plugin from uploaded file: jetpack.2.0.4.zip

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/content/82/8885182/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/

    Plugin install failed.

    Return to Plugins page

But, JetPack is no longer in my Plugins folder (active or inactive).

I have seen this topic in other strings, but the strings are always closed with no resolution. Does anyone know how I can get my stats back? Thanks.

  • FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the wp-content/plugins/jetpack/ folder. Then re-download Jetpack.

    Hi Esmi –

I’m sorry, but I don’t understand how to FTP into my site. I just log-in through WordPress.org I can’t find the jetpack folder even when I run a search in the plugins section of the site.

    Thanks again,
    Jennifer

It looks like my email subscription plugin is also gone.

You will need to ask your hosts’ assistance for details of how to login to your site using FTP.

    esmi,

I am having the same problem as JTNeedham. I am working with my host to fix it. However, if we have lost our subscribers will we be able to get them back? This is my biggest concern.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thank you. The host was able to talk me through the FTP and re-installing JetPack via WordPress. That also brought back the email subscription.
