• Hi y’all,

I’m trying to implement Jeff Harrell’s CSS shadowing technique on my WordPress site.

    http://theshapeofdays.com/2005/12/an_improved_css.html

I e-mailed him direct but he’s busy at the moment (e-mailed me back right away that he’ll get in touch when he’s free – fantastically cordial guy, only wish everyone else I’ve been dealing with at work was that nice!).

Here’s the problem: http://hush.cc. See the first image on the page, the skull? That craziness around it is supposed to be a matte and a drop shadow.

I uploaded a test here: http://hush.cc/test.html. As you can see, the components work fine on their own, but it seems like after running through either the PHP in WP or perhaps the stylesheet of the theme I’m using (Tiny, from dev.d10e.net/wordpress) the shadowing gets munged.

I looked through the stylesheet to see if anything might be conflicting with the shadowing ‘engine’, but there’s no CSS code that applies to img tags; at least there doesn’t seem to be.

If anyone could give me some pointers I’d really appreciate it. TIA!
