• Hi Support Community,
I’ve had some issues using SportsPress with Beaver Builder page builder. Initially they wouldn’t work together at all, eventually they have worked but I’m seeing page errors which make me doubtful whether I should upgrade to the pro version. Hoping someone can help please. The site isn’t live yet, the errors are:

    Hi!

This looks like a JS conflict for me.

@savvasha Is this caused by some JS code they have? I’m not sure if this would be an easy fix.

    Thanks!

    Hi Roch,

Thanks for reply. I do know of other Beaver Builder users who use your plugin so hopefully this can be fixed.

@savvasha Even if it is not an easy fix I would think it would be worth doing as Beaver Builder is on over 1,000,000 websites.

    Thank you,

    Gerry

I use Beaver Builder Theme + Beaver Builder Plugin + SportsPress plugin without any issues.

Thanks, that’s good to know. I appreciate your feedback.

There is still an error showing on the page inspector therefore I’d like to resolve that to avoid any possible future issues.

    Hi!

    Thanks for sharing, corrinarusso

Then it’s worth disabling all your plugins, gerryking. You can see how it works with just SportsPress (latest) and Beavere builder (latest). If possible, use the Twenty Seventeen theme or Rookie to rule out a theme conflict.

    Thanks!

    Hi Roch,

    OK, I’ll do that.

    Thanks

gerryking, when I get js errors on other sites that disable the functionality of Beaver Builder – it’s always from another plugin that is throwing the conflict.

In these cases (and I have 3 or 4 clients where this occurs), I simply :
    – login to the site
    – disable all the plugins except beaver Builder
    – make my updates the site that I need to do
    – Publish my work
    – enable all the plugins

This process is fast, easy and much more efficient than digging through exceptions in the code to try to resolve the error. In most cases, the conflicting plugin provides updates that eventually remove the error anyway.

Corrinarusso, thank you! I really appreciate your comments, most helpful.

As you have experience with this I hope you don’t mind me asking another question?

I’m looking at buying the pro bundle including a theme for a soccer website I’m building.

I want to have the full width theme style as shown on the Varsity demo. Do you know if to achieve this I need to buy the Varsity theme or is there an option to set the Soccer theme to full width?

    Thanks, Gerry

Hi gerryking, sorry, but I don’t run the theme from SportsPress – only the plugin.
I run the Beaver Builder theme.

You’ll need to open another support request to re: the full width football theme.

    OK, no problem thanks.

Hi Corrinarusso, could you tell me if the plugin works well with BB theme? I have a licence for BBtheme and that is an option for me. Are you able to show me any SportsPress/BB sites you have built please?

    Thanks,
    Gerry
