iThemes Security and timthumb

I looked through this support forum and I didn’t see the answer so I went looking for the solution and found and posting it to help others.

I had installed iThemes Security on a few websites, only to find that, if they used timthumb image resizing in the theme, all images would disappear once you logged out. When you log back in, they would appear normally again.

So, I went through what iThemes Security writes to the .htaccess file and found that if I remarked out the line under Rules to block suspicious URIs

#RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} http\: [NC,OR]

This resolved the issue.
