    Hi,

    I am trying to make some words in a cell italic by using ‘<i>blah blah</i>’, but the cell isn’t acknowledging it – am I doing something wrong?

    I am able to use blah blah without a problem, so just assumed I could also use other html in the same way.

    Please advise.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    This HTML code is totally correct (although <em>italics</em> is recommended in modern HTML),
    The problem simply is that your theme is resetting the styling for that HTML tag to upright characters, using CSS. To change that in tables, please add this “Custom CSS”:

    .tablepress i {
	font-style: italic;
}
