It hate its nags

Guess why I’m writing this review?

Because SureForms inserts a nagging banner at the top of my admin dashboard asking me to do so. And it’s not the first time. You click it away, but after some time it reappears.

I’m using the paid version.

You could expect that they have the decency to introduce a switch “never ask for a review again”. I am supposed to use SureForms in client sites with the license that I have. Do you think I will? Do you think I will expose my paying clients to unnecessary nags? We just want to work and we want the tools we use to do the job.

SurePeople, are you listening? Your behaviour is actively preventing widespread adaptation.

Also: this is not the only thing they force on you. They introduce new dashboard widgets that weren’t there before. Now it’s in your dashboard. Sure, you can just click it away. But it mustn’t be there in the first place. Ask me if I want it, not force it in my dashboard for me to clean it up.

You know what?

I’m switching to WSform. A plugin that does everything you could ever ask for. Without nags. And I think SureForms will not be the last Sure product I kick out because they all behave like that.

Add to that the vanishing license keys that you have to re-add every now and again.

I used WPforms in the past and FluentForms, both with its pros and cons. I gave SureForms a chance because of what was promised. And I could really like it if it did not introduce stuff that nobody asked for and benefits only you.

SureForms is still lacking features that those aforementioned two plugins have and none come close to what WSform offers. I thought I could run with SureForms but apparently you don’t want people to use your products in a professional manner.

And one more thing: the sure-nags appear in the free version of the plugin, so my review is not only about what others do better or stuff that happens only in the paid version. But it lets you see that you won’t get rid of those nags either if you are a free or a paid user. Also: they advertise their paid plugin in the repository so mentioning my experience with said plugin is within the guidelines.

If only Sure starts listening to people their products could be great.
