Hi @heyitsburnout,
I was able to replicate the issue on my end. This appears to be a bug in the code being used to generate the page titles on the search results page and the author archive pages.
I’ve gone ahead and opened up an issue in our Github issue tracker, so we can keep track of this bug and get it patched up. Feel free to follow along with the progress here: https://github.com/godaddy/wp-primer-theme/pull/225
Additionally, I’ve issued a pull request against the code base which resolves the bug that you have reported here. If you would like to review the changes that need to be made to get things working properly, feel free to review the pull request here: https://github.com/godaddy/wp-primer-theme/pull/225 / https://github.com/godaddy/wp-primer-theme/pull/225/files
We should be able to get this patched up in the next release.
Thank you for taking the time to report the issue!
Evan
Thanks Evan.
So I should just remain patient until the issue is fixed correct? Not sure if I read your response wrong to just keep track of progress https://github.com/godaddy/wp-primer-theme/pull/225 until the issue is resolved.
Hi @heyitsburnout,
You can wait for the patch to come out or (in the meantime) you can tweak the code contained in the theme to fix the issue. The changes that need to occur can be seen on that Github link I originally provided. However in the next release of the theme, those changes will be reverted, but that shouldn’t be an issue since we will be patching things up.
Either way, the issue should be resolved and patched in a short period of time.
Hi Evan,
Is the patch available now for this issue?
Laura
