• There is still an issue with using Mollie on WooCommerce with the new Checkout Page made with Blocks (core of latest Woocommerce).

    Mollie using classic (old) checkout, works without issue, but blocks doesn’t properly work.

    I have Mollie and Paypal Standard enabled as payment options. When loading the checkout-page, the Mollie option always lags a bit behind on loading (suppose due to how it’s implemented via Javascipt).

    This creates the issue that even if I want Mollie as the default option as payment, it will still select Paypal, since it was quicker to load on the checkout page.

    Granted, everything works when then clicking on the Mollie CC Payment option, the Mollie Components fields all load up and it’s ready for customers to put in their details.

    HOWEVER; if you click back on Paypal, and then back again on Mollie, the Components form doesn’t load, and the fields don’t show. The only way to get it back is to refresh the entire page manually. As we know, the general internet user is, for a lack of better word – retarded – 99% of them aren’t going to figure this out on their own, and sales will be lost.

    Can you please – fix.

    Follow up. Sometimes the Mollie option doesn’t load at all, until the page is refreshed again.

    This is a known issue. The loading time for payment methods in the WooCommerce checkout blocks can cause them to disappear temporarily when changing the billing country. We’re aware of this and are currently working on improving performance specifically for blocks.

    For now, we recommend switching back to the classic checkout as a temporary solution. This should prevent the issue where payment methods disappear and ensure a more reliable experience for your customers.

    Thank you Femi, unfortunately not overly confidence inspiring, as I was able to find this issue having been mentioned continuesly in the support forum since 2021 – always with the reply ‘we’re working on it for the next update’. Seems like there is no solution in sight, which is a shame.

    The regular check-out has a very low conversion rate compared to the blocks checkout design.

    Oh well.
