Issues adding Paypal Buttons?
-
I had issues cutting and pasting the PayPal HTML code to create “buy now” and add to cart buttons into my wordpress site (southernswimbait.com) to do simple e-commerce. WordPress distorts the HTML and the buttons don’t work right.
I have been reading various WP forums and work arounds for hours. None of the posts I read have been updated super recently. Like 2-6 years old
I am trying to get the latest, “here is what you need to do” to get your Paypal buttons working, so you can just cut and paste. ***I don’t know HTML or CSS*** I saw and read about a PayPal Button Lite, but after watching the tutorial, it was like, I must be the only person on earth that cannot code. Every tool, plugin and move seems to require HTML skills to pull off.
The only work around that might work is using the URL Paypal gives you in a simple single item button (no options or variations) and applying the URL to an image of a “buy now” button. But getting a ‘buy now’ button next to an image of a product, without having HTML skills will become the next issue I’m afraid!!!
Anyway, why is adding a PayPal button so challenging and cumbersome, and what are the tricks a big dummy no HTML coding guy like me can muster to get a simple e-commerce thing going on pages and posts on my blog using PayPal?
