Issue with using consent checkbox

Hello,

We have two forminator forms, one form using the NL language and one form using the FR language. Both forms are exactly the same except the language.

On both forms we have a consent checkbox that is required, on the NL language form it works perfectly but on the FR language form it errors when the form is submitted that the checkbox was not selected even though it was selected.

In my research I found similar topics but they were talking about conflicts with plugins etc but in this case one form works perfectly but the other doesn’t so this doesn’t seem like a plugin conflict.

What could be the issue?

In order for us to test and compare both forms, could you please export them, and share the exported files via Google Drive, Dropbox, or a similar file sharing service.

You can export a form after clicking on the cog wheel icon next to the “Edit” button:

Hi @consc197

It seems you have exported the page source of each site where those forms are located. Can you follow the below guide to export forms only:
- log in to your site WP Dashboard
- navigate to Forminator -> Forms
- click on gear icon next to your forms and choose Export
- upload both files to Google Drive once more

Thank you for sharing your forms with us.

I imported both forms to my lab site and tried submitting them to see if I could replicate the issue. However, both were working fine, and I couldn’t see any issues with your form setup. The only thing I found was that the consent wasn’t required, which I changed before my tests. I submitted it without any errors, so the issue could be specific to your website.

I suggest to trying create that form again from scratch or removing and adding the consent field to see how it works.

If that was not helpful, please share the page URL where your form is added so we can try to take a look at the logs on your site and find more clues.

Hello,

I exported the form, removed it and re-imported it but the issue continues. Is there a support portal I can share the url of the site and admin logins which I assume you’ll need and any other details you need?

I hope you are doing well.

Per WordPress forum rules we can’t collect any credentials, but would be possible to share the form URL so we can try to replicate it on the front end?

If you prefer to share it privately then you can send it to wpsupport@incsub.com using this specific subject: “ATTN: WPMU DEV support – wp.org” and include the thread URL in the email body along with the front-end form URL.
