Issue with pages being downloaded instead
-
I host several websites using Openlitespeed on FlyWP. This may be an issue with FlyWP’s stack, I am not sure but I’ll post it here anyway if anyone has any clue on what’s going on.
What happened is that with page caching enabled, Easy Optimizer does generate the pages and stores them in the cache folder, but when it comes to browsing the website, the website downloads the pages instead of showing them.
I suppose this is due to the pages being gzipped and perhaps the server is not sending out the correct headers so that the browser can un-gzip the pages. This happened both on PHP and .htaccess modes. Disabling page caching entirely resolves the issue, but then we don’t have caching.
I have sent a message to FlyWP’s support but they sometimes are clueless about some things. I haven’t heard back from them yet on this issue. I tried debugging this by myself with the help of AI but all I got was that Openlitespeed is capable of handling gzipped pages just fine, I don’t need to enable any optional modules.
