Issue with Offline Donation

    Hi

    I purchased a theme (Born To Give) that uses your donation plugin and am having an issue with the Donation. When I tested the offline donation and submitted the form I get an error on the Your Receipts page that says “You must be logged in to access your donation receipt.” Is there a way to have users donate without having to register to get a receipt? Also, I am not receiving the notification emails that a donation was made.

    Hi Angie,

    The user should still be able to access their donation receipt if they are not logged in. To troubleshoot the problem, could you try disabling the other plugins on your site and see if the problem persists?

    Also, which hosting company are you using?

    With the emails, there are a couple things to check:

    1. Are all the emails enabled under Charitable > Settings > Emails?
    2. If so, are you getting any other emails from the site? For example, if you try to reset your password, do you get the password reset email?

    Also note that notification emails for donations are only sent when a donation is marked as Paid.

    Hi Eric,

    I did try turning off my plugins but still received the error message “you must be logged in to access your donation receipt”.

    I am using GoDaddy for hosting.

    I went in and marked the offline emails as paid and then did receive the notification email for the donor as well as the admin so that part is working.
