Hi!
The 0 bytes minify cache size may imply that:
1. Your theme already has all assets minified and no further minification can be applied
2. You already have your assets excluded from minification
3. There is a conflict with another plugin
To test, try enabling the merging of CSS and Javascript files. Also, check your PHP error log for any WPO-related entries.
In addition, I’d like you to run the preloader at WP-Optimize > Cache > Preload. Let me know what happens when afterwards.
In the meantime, please provide your website address and the name of the active theme on your site.
Thanks in advance.
Dear WP-Optimize Support Team,
Thank you for your response and guidance. Here are the details you requested:
Regarding assets excluded from minification: I believe there are none. In my settings, both “Exclude JavaScript from processing” and “Exclude the following CSS files from processing” fields are empty.
I have enabled merging of CSS and JavaScript files and then purged both minified files and page cache. The PHP debug log shows no errors related to WP-Optimize.
I ran the preloader as suggested, and it completed without any issues. It shows:
Last preload finished at 18:38, 2025-2-21 (My server timezone: UTC+8)
Website address: https://h-ero-game.com/
Active theme: exs-news
Please let me know if you need any further information. I appreciate your continued assistance!
Best regards,
Thanks for applying the given suggestions.
From basic inspection, I can see that your exs-news theme already has your site assets minified. In addition, the theme also seems to apply some cache-bursting techniques by versioning the minified files. Therefore, WPO will not be able to further minify nor cache such assets.
I can also see that you also have Redis object cache active on your site. As a lat resort, you can temporarily disable this and then click the “Purge minified files” button at WPO > Minify > Minify status.
Once done, run the preloader again and check the Minify cache size after a while.
Looking forward to your response.
Regards.
Dear WP-Optimize Support Team,
Thank you for your assistance!
After disabling Redis, purging the minified files, and running the preloader, the Minify cache is now being generated successfully. I appreciate your help in resolving this issue.
I have one more question: Can I re-enable Redis after this, or would it interfere with the minification process again?
Looking forward to your advice.
Best regards,
Hi
You can enable Redis, you should be able to use Redis with WPO (Redis is object cache)
