Issue with Divi theme and Polylang

I am currently building a multilingual website using the Divi Theme and the Polylong plugin. Now I found there’s an issue: Any changes made with the Theme Customizer cannot be saved as long as Polylang is active. I always get an alert prompted that mentions “Something went wrong. Wait a couple of seconds and try again” (rough translation). But it won’t work. Only when I deactivate the Polylang plugin it is possible to save changes made in the Theme Customizer. There seems to be a conflict between Divi and the Polylang plugin. Is this a known issue? How to solve this problem?
