Issue with Bible List Display

    Hello, I’ve recently installed VerseLinker on a new WordPress website and I’m having an issue that when I go to select a Bible version, on the “SELECT VERSION” it is showing up: Error Loading Versions.

    So I’m simply not able to select the version I want. I’m not sure what is going on with it?

    Hi Jamie,

    Thank you for reporting this issue.

    We have reviewed the problem and released a fix for the Bible version selector in the VerseLinker settings page. The issue could happen when the version list failed to load correctly in some WordPress admin environments.

    Please update VerseLinker to the latest version from your WordPress dashboard, then go back to the plugin settings and try selecting the Bible version again.

    This issue is important to us, so please let us know if the update resolves it on your website. If the problem continues, we will keep investigating until we find the cause.

    Excellent, thank you! So this now works and I can select again the Bible Version. However, I would like to note that what I am finding is while it is in fact holding. So for example, I have selected the “English: Berean Standard Bible. But in the actual “select version” it isn’t holding this. When I save, it now shows the KJV (which is the first in the selection) but yet, my bible version is the BSB and is displaying on the front end. So that might be a bug to fix.

    (One note, not to confuse support requests, but for the Berean Standard Bible, why is it starting with, English: Berean Standard Bible? Is there more than one to distinguish? Otherwise, it might be at least for the English speaking world fine to just use “Berean Standard Bible” as for me, I was searching for it and expecting it under B, but then later found it near the end under E for the English., So just a curiosity and maybe a correction).

    Hi Jamie,

    Thank you for the clear report. We have fixed both issues you mentioned:

    1. The selected Bible version is now preserved correctly in the settings page after saving.
    2. The Berean Standard Bible label has been corrected from English: Berean Standard Bible to Berean Standard Bible.

    Please update VerseLinker to the latest version to see these changes reflected on your site.
