    Hi,

I recently selected the plug-in for upgrade as I would normally do, but it errored out and put site into maintenance mode. I have had to rename the plug-in folder and start site up again, but I can’t now start the WPForms plug-in which has a couple of important forms we need. THe error I am getting is:

Warning: require_once(/websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/bo/rn/2t/URLREMOVED/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wpforms-lite/src/WPForms.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/bo/rn/2t/URLREMOVED/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wpforms-lite/wpforms.php on line 230

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/bo/rn/2t/URLREMOVED/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wpforms-lite/src/WPForms.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php70/share/pear:/usr/local/php70/share/php’) in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/bo/rn/2t/URLREMOVED/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wpforms-lite/wpforms.php on line 230

Obviously removed URL from the error, but can anyone shed any light? Thanks.

  • Hi @ffsdnm,

Thanks for writing in and our apologies for the trouble!

Based on the error message you are getting, it looks like some of the files are corrupted when you did the update which caused the issue.

To solve this, please take a full backup of your site. Then, login through FTP and navigate to the following file path wp-content/plugins/. Once you’re in the plugin directory, delete the wpforms-lite folder. Log back in to the admin panel and go to the plugin’s page and reinstall WPForms.

I hope this helps and please feel free to let us know how it goes.

Can I just check that this will keep my existing forms if I do this, I really don’t want to have to recreate them. 🙂

    Hi @ffsdnm,

You should not lose your current forms when you do the process I mentioned in my previous response. However, it would still be best to keep a full backup of your site before doing the steps I mentioned, just in case you’ll need them.

    Thank you.

    Hi @ffsdnm,

We haven’t heard back from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
