Seeing all of the issues people are having with the new WordFence that have yet to receive a response, particularly sites connected with PayPal, as I am, has forced me to wait on the sidelines and not update. I have neither the time nor skills to deal with broken sites should that occur. I am not a coder.

My websites have been doing fine without caching, a choice I made after much research. As a paying customer, I dislike caching forced on me. It has taken me much time and effort to get my sites working.

Forgive me for my harshness, but last month I had a question for Mark. I sent two emails, one to tech and one via the route for paying customers.

I am still waiting for a response. By the way, I am also still waiting for the long promised documentation to set up the Firewall in WordFence.

Now, after just renewing my subscription for a year, (and we don’t even receive a reminder to pay!) I have to deal with the fear of updating my websites to this new caching version.

Is there a way to update to the new version without using the caching aspect?

OK stop right there. I haven’t even read the rest of your post. Firstly, we’ve been working very hard to reply to you and other customers in a timely fashion and have been doing a pretty darn good job.

Secondly, caching wasn’t forced on you. The feature is disabled by default and it’s perfectly OK to leave it disabled so please do so.

    Regards,

    Mark.
