    Hi,

I am looking for a plugin that will do the following however, I am unsure if this one is suitable for my needs.

Firstly, a bit of background, I currently run a WordPress installation that automatically posts articles from various RSS feeds.

What I need now is a plugin or service that upon publication of these posts will automatically send an update to my Twitter account. The Twitter update should read as follows:

*title of WP post* *link* *hashtags*

and the featured image of the post.

Ideally the hashtags are sourced from the WordPress tags however if possible I can manually set them.

Is this something that Microblog poster can achieve? I have been looking and looking for something that will work and nothing has been successful as of yet. Hopefully this works!

Yes, what you described is exactly what “NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster” does.

And yes, it can take WordPress tags and post them to Twitter as hashtags.

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

That is excellent news, I am eager to test and will install the plugin shortly.

I have another question on the hashtags…. I realise with this plugin in is possible to add more than one Twitter account to post to. Is it possible to add the same Twitter account and change the POST MESSAGE depending on the category within which the post is published?

For example, if I have 20 categories, I can add the one twitter account 20 times and change the message for each post.

    Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible in the “Pro” version. You can add the same account several times and change the message format for each one of those accounts.

More then that, you can set plugin to automatically post or not to post to different configured accounts based on post category.
