    As @sinip hinted, that is what you would see for a charge from WordPress.com. You can use this contact form on the “Why Was I Charged” support page and they will work with you to figure out it.

    There is nothing we will be able to do for that as it is completely separate from WordPress.org.

    Thanks Geoffrey. Yes it looks like my suspicions was confirmed then, obviously I was charged by an entity pretending to be wordpress operating off of a phony lookalike site.
