Support » Plugins » Is there a Widget to display full posts?

  • I have installed a new theme for my blog that I purchased from Template Monster. I like the template, but one thing that is lacking (for my personal preference) is displaying full posts on the home page.

As you look at the site, the main content area of the home page is controlled by widgets, displaying the title and thumbnail of a recent post in that category.

What I am wanting is a widget that I can put in the main content area that shows that latest 3 – 5 of the latest posts in full text, not just the title.

In other words, I’m wanting to add more meat and content to my home page. I have looked for a widget that could do this, but I have not been able to find one. Do you know of one out there?

  • Are these widgets part of the theme customization? Or part of WordPress core itself?

If this theme has custom widget included with it you would have to find someone familiar with Template Monster framework and edit the widget so it shows the full post instead of an excerpt.

But to answer your question regarding the Full Post Widget. You might want to start your search here:

    Query Posts Widget: WordPress Plugin

But that plugin might not work with your theme.

You could also try this plugin:

    I hope this has helped…
