Is Something Wrong with WordPress .zip download 3.4.1 | WordPress.org

I am desperate here.. I cannot install wordpress because i get all kinds of require_once() errors because its looking for files in subdirectories but THERE ARE NONE! The zip file I got from this site has no subdirectories at all and it has like 2-6 versions of the same file (6 files called index.php). PLEASE HELP!

Zip Folder

This picture shows what I believe is the correct structure of the wordpress folder. This looks nothing like the one I downloaded from wordpress.org though.

http://wordpress.org/download/ is the correct download. It has subdirectories, etc. Try downloading it again.

thats exactly where i did download. There are no subdirectories or anything in that .zip or .tar … or is my winzip messed up or something?

Can you download and confirm with me?

That would be my guess. The ZIP file is fine for me.

Ok, weird. It was WinZip, I opened as compressed-folder instead and it worked..thanks
