Hi pmgopal,
Yes, reCAPTCHA is available with any version of WPForms, including WPForms Lite. If you’re encountering this error, there could be that reCAPTCHA is getting loaded twice on the page — once by WPForms, and once by either your theme or another plugin, and this causes the error in the form.
The possible next steps could be:
1. You can try to track down what’s generating the other reCAPTCHA code and, if possible, turn it off.
2. You can enable No-Conflict Mode in WPForm’s reCAPTCHA settings (under WPForms > Settings > reCAPTCHA tab
I hope this helps 🙂
Thanks Ethan. I did enable No-Conflict Mode but it didn’t help. I can see the reCAPTCHA when I preview the form but not when I open the form from the page. I don’t think I have reCAPTCHA enabled in any other plugin as far as I know, but I will look.

Ethan, I disabled other plugins (wpdiscuz, mailchimp for wp, give) that were potentially also loading reCAPTCHA – that didn’t help. I tried with No-conflict mode as well. Any other suggestions that I could try?
On a different note, it is likely that many other plugins also will use this feature. Is there a way to make wpforms more resilient – I see so many questions in this forum related to reCAPTCHA.
Many thanks for your help.

Ethan, another update. Turns out the reCAPTCHA is not showing in the forms popup (I am using WP Post Modal), it shows up fine without the popup. Don’t know how to load reCAPTCHA inside the popup.
Any suggestions?
Madan
Hi pmgopal,
Unfortunately in this case it looks like the popup is not able to load the reCAPTCHA files properly.
The next step for this might be to reach out to WP Post Modal plugin’s support for possible solution on how to resolve this. Alternatively, or you could consider using a different popup plugin, such as the Popup Maker, which many of our users have success with.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Ethan. I will try Popup Maker.
