• hello,
I made a page with banner used as gallery.
    Very nice and simple.
Than I tried to verify that on tablet the gallery is visible in a correct way.
    This was not.
    Can you help me?
Maybe I cannot use this kind of gallery to have a responsive effect with MAKE.
    Thanks a lot!
    Maurizio

  • Hello Maurizio,

Can you either provide a link to your page or explain exactly how you configured the Banner section? We can definitely help you out. 🙂

Okay, are you talking about the slideshow?

Have you tried using the “Aspect” ratio instead in the configure options for the banner section?

    Dear Melissa,
    thanks another time.
Yes I tried but the result is not positive.
The slideshow comes out of scale and, as you probably understand, the effect is a really mess.

    Other options in you mind?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Melissa,
I found same problem on this website:
    http://drawingchange.com/visual-facilitation/

As you sure know that’s made with MAKE.
It seems, finally, that MAKE slideshows cannot be seen from tablet or smartphone without beng cutted. (not responsive slideshow).
    Insn’t it?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Maurizio

    Hi Maurizio,

It’s definitely responsive. What’s going on is that it’s cropping and scaling the images to fit the viewport of the screen. This means that certain kinds of images just aren’t as effective in the slider. In every case, we recommend you design with a “mobile first” strategy, choosing images and designing your layouts by considering the implications for smaller screens first.

I think the slider on the Drawing Change website would do better with the aspect ratio set.

I’ve also seen users tweak their child themes to scale the banner sections differently. So that’s also an option.
