Is a time limit possible?

Hello,
I was wondering if it would be possible, or if already existing within a plugin, to start a countdown per user once they create a new post.

For example; Once I click new post in wordpress or save it as a draft a timer starts counting down to show the amount of time I have left to publish it. If I don’t make the time then either I am locked out of the post or it is sent to the trash.
If not I am also curious if it is possible to do this with bbpress topics.
