The StageShow help manual refers to an IPN Setting control in PayPal that no longer exists in the current version of the PayPal website– at least not under our Business PayPal account settings. How do I get to the right page to enter the relevant information? Here is the section from the manual:

    5.1.2 IPN Setting
The Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) settings control how PayPal sends
information on sales to your website. These settings can modified via the Profile |
My Selling Preferences | Instant payment notifications menu. The Receive IPN
messages option should be selected and the Notification URL should be set as
    follows:

    {Your-site}/wp-content/plugins/{pluginName}/StageShow_ipn_callback.php
Where: {Your-site} is the root URL of your WordPress website
{pluginName} is stageshow or stageshowplus as appropriate

I’ve just logged in to my PayPal account, which is also a Business Account, and my account appears to follow my original description correctly. I’ve done a screen capture of each page and posted a PDF with the result on my website here.

So I’m really not sure what to advise, but even if your menus are different, it will be there somewhere … If all else fails you could try PayPal support.

I found it, at least for PayPal in the US. The link is under:

    Profile
    My selling tools
Getting paid and managing my risk
    Instant payment notifications
