you can do it through htaccess. or you can try using blacklist to block spam. i believe blacklist can even go through your current comments and check for spam.
how do i do this? please explain i have to goto work but ill check thread when i get back.

just download, follow instructions in the readme, and you’ll be good to go. Doesn’t require any editing of files. Just drop into place, run install and then configure it.
i ran it. but how do i get it to scan the already posted comments for blacklisted items. i added the urls i wanted to the list and they comments are still there.
goto the search function. you should notice a tab near the top. manage-search-moderate. just type in something like poker in the search function and it’ll give back every comment that has that word.
