IP check fails

    Hi there,

    I love the plugin, this fast, clean and reliable. But these days I see a lot of “faked IP addresses” spam in my queue – which is not right (friends and family, different places). All of them are IP v6. Is there a problem with the IP detection right now?

    Hi @david181,

    I do not recommend using the IP check. As this could be producing false positives if the server is using a load balancer (host to ip / ip to host comparison fails in this case but is in fact okay).

    IPv6 is tricky and maybe related to the server configuration. There is already a ticket for this in our Github repository:
    https://github.com/pluginkollektiv/antispam-bee/issues/19

    At the moment I would recommend disabling this feature.
