Invalid Request
-
Hello,
Trying to insert a gallery using the kitchen sink and I select the sources as gallery and then select gallery and click save and I get “invalid request”. No errors in the server logs. I can make the short code manually fine, but I’d like to use the kitchen sink

– Cais.
I must have a conflict with another plugin going on. I’m getting the same issue on http://www.theageoftheplatform.com.
@philsimon – I would think there is something different between these two reports … and in those cases it is always best to start your own topic.
As it is, at a quick glance, I see many references to
'text/rocketscript'in your page source and what appears to be several NextGEN Gallery scripts not being rendered to the page as well. If you are not able to sort those out, please start a new topic so we can help you with your site’s specific issue(s).Thanks!
– Cais.
OK, so turns out this error is specific to chrome in my case. no problems with safari on any machine and no machines work on chrome. That seems odd to me.
@paracleteweb – That is definitely odd, especially since I use Chrome for almost all of my testing and reviews (primarily Mac, but also PC).
Have you tried clearing your browser caches, or may just try using a “New Incognito” window to see if there is something there? It could even be an extension you have installed in your Chrome browser … that would be rare but it has happened with other browsers in the past.
– Cais.
Incognito window with all extensions disabled still give the error in chrome
@paracleteweb – Which OS are you using?
– Cais.
10.8.5 mac
chrome Version 35.0.1916.114
@paracleteweb – I have the same Chrome version (and the latest OS X, but I don’t think that will be the issue … I have much more confidence in OS X than other brands).
Would it be possible for you to test this from a different computer (preferably another Mac using Chrome)? If not, would you be able to submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) so we could test this?
We would need log in (and possibly FTP) credentials for your WordPress installation as well, please include those with the Bug Report.
Thanks!
– Cais.
I will see what I can do. Interestingly Firefox has the same trouble, but Safari is fine.
@paracleteweb – I’m still seeing
type='text/rocketscript'in your page source. To the best of my understanding this is related to the use of CloudFlare, have you tested without whatever is using CloudFlare (commonly caching plugins) deactivated?Sometimes this is also a server environment service which may need to be disabled.
– Cais.
The link in this thread is not my site, however I happen to use Cloudflare as well and disabling and running incognito doesn’t seem to help.
