invalid merchant configuration

Using Paid Membership Pro and finally have everything installed properly, or so it seems, but am now getting the “invalid merchant configuration” error code. Have redone the configuration multiple times and searched the forums and the plugin site for solutions but can find none that I understand. What could I possibly doing wrong?
