With both the 1.5 version and the previous version, accordion panlels don’t seem to be handled correctly in IE 8 and above. IE 7 seems to work fine.

Clicking on the accordion pushes everything to the left in IE 8 (and 9), but it acts normally in IE7, Firefox, and Chrome

That seems to be caused by styling issues on the parent containers. There is a margin-right:100% and other odd unneeded styles in the container for the sections.

Try putting the sections in a simpler layout or in another theme and see if you can replicate the issue.
