Occassionally, my site will show an “Internal Server Error.” However, it typically disappears after refreshing the page. If I clear my cookies, it will show up again…sometimes. Earlier, we clicked all over my sight and finally clicking on some page we hadn’t visited in a while it would then pop up, but other pages we hadn’t visited wouldn’t show it. It seems to be random at times.

I ran the wp_debug and was getting errors for one of my plugins. I deactivated that plugin and everything seemed fine…but then the issues started back. I ran the debug again and keep getting some “ssv3_payload_extractor” type errors. I’m not sure if this is pointing at a plugin. If it is, I’m not sure which one it is pointing at.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. 🙂

    1) try Enabling debugging

    2) Check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message and see why it’s failing. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.

I was having the same problem with mine, I had to do FTP to get in it had me completely locked out and my site was shut down with internal server error 500 and now I’m finally back in after 24 hours of trying to get in but my permalink are all broken and I can’t even figure out how to post my own post in this forum. I’m so frustrated but at least my site is back up. I cannot figure out how to reconnect my permalink so that they’re working again the only one working is shop.

    Side note to @skocchi,

please do not jump into other topics. If the troubleshooting already posted made no difference for you, then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

I’m quite guessing here but those 500 errors are most likely caused by combined factors of template used and hosting picked. The website needs serious optimisation – https://gtmetrix.com/reports/narrowmindedwoman.com/aPU3y9Xj it makes whooping 188 requests to the database before it loads.

I tracked it down to a caching plugin I was using. It was causing all kinds of errors.

    Thanks for your help.
