[Resolved] Internal Database

  • obiscoito

I don’t know much about SQL and I’m getting better with PHP, but I have a question. I want an internal database for wine definitions on my site. I would like to be able to use this to make a searchable page for wine terms, where i’ll have definitions and .wav files for pronounciation. I’m just not sure where to start. I’m sure this is a simple problem, or maybe not, but I just need a boost in the right direction. Ideally a page with an alphabet on it, where people can click a letter, and get a list of words with definitions. Also it would be nice but not necessary to only be able to search these terms. Any thoughts…thanks for the help, Ryan

  • This isn’t really related to WordPress in any shape or form. You’d do well to start with sites such as hotscripts.com or others that have free PHP/mySQL scripts available.

Learn about these technologies with simple scripts and then create the program that you need.
